A Little Princess
Is it the tiara that makes the princess?
This musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved classic features authentic songs and dances of the late Victorian era. 22 speaking roles, including 18 female characters (doubling possible) and 2-4 male characters, piano accompanist (or recordings) plus an optional larger chorus of schoolgirls. The Snow Queen
A little girl’s quest to rescue her kidnapped best friend. Along the way she charms animals and royalty, softens the hearts of a robber gang, and defeats the cruel queen’s Snow Warriors in a climactic gymnastic battle. True to Hans Christian Andersen’s original story. Ideal for large casts of different ages and levels of experience. Opportunities for song, dance, gymnastics, improvisation—or what you will. Minimal scenery (or give it the works). 33 speaking roles, with lots of potential for doubling. 65 minutes.
Premiered at the Allegheny Highlands Regional Theater
The Sleeping Beauty & the Frog Prince

Drama and comedy in a mashup of two favorite fairy tales, reset in a 19th century New England textile milltown. Song, dance, puppetry. 8 principal characters; a variable supporting ensemble playing multiple roles; an ensemble of 4 (or more) children. Unit set (2 levels) recommended. 65 minutes plus optional intermission.
